If Instagram can revert new update this quickly, why is it so hard to revert to chronological ordered posts? #instagramupdate pic.twitter.com/K4MbsqUtSl

everyone: hey @instagram can you do something about all the hate and racism on your platform?@instagram: why don’t we make scrolling more annoying for you?

Instagram told HuffPost that the update was “due to a bug.”“We quickly fixed the issue and feed is back to normal. We apologize for any confusion,” a spokesperson said via email. But will this feature become permanent? We hope not but Instagram has a couple of reasons to do so: The new feed gives more focus to individual content & the swipe down option to read the comments will make it easier for the audience to consume content. With the Instagram Ad game going faster than ever, to 1M$ per day, focus on individual posts will give ads more visibility & focus which in turn is a good business move. The ‘tap to scroll’ was first introduced by Snapchat to make it more friendly for the user to view content rather than using their thumb on the entire screen. The update is likely to improve the overall functionality of the application. The bad news is that Instagram is clearly strongly considering making the horizontal feed a reality for all users in the near future. The test has proven to be an utter failure & should not be considered but will it stop the social media giant from actually doing it?A similar sort of disapproval was also shown by the audience when snapchat changed it’s entire interface but now do you even remember the old one? I actually can’t!Instagram will do the change & people will get used to it.
